numbers identify what it fits and replaces; they remain the trademarks of their owners. The

Deuterium lamp for the LC-2030 and LC-2040 with the UV detector, cross-referenced to 228-63621 and the older 228-55626. This lamp has no RFID chip. The 3D models with the PDA detector take a different lamp, 228-63621-01, which carries a chip, and the M40 and LC-2050 take a third one. So read the part number on the lamp you are removing, and do not order by instrument name only. If you are not certain, send me a photograph of the old lamp and its label and I will confirm before quoting.

This lamp has no RFID chip. Some detectors
read a chip to log lamp hours. On those, an untagged lamp reports a tag error and will not
ignite until you set the lamp type manually, and you reset the lamp-hours counter yourself
afterwards. It runs normally once that is done. What that involves. If
you would rather have the chipped version, say so and I will quote that instead.
Before you order: if the instrument is misbehaving, tell me the symptom, not the part
number. Lamps and seals get replaced for problems they did not cause. The first look costs
nothing, and if this part is not the fix, I will say so.
